In 2019, after years of building a celeb-loved brand (hello, PoshLifeBling), I walked away from entrepreneurship. Yup — your girl left the sparkle and entered a Silicon Valley tech sales bootcamp. Wild, right?
I’d built something iconic: I was the creator of the original Bling Cell Phone Case, hand-placing every rhinestone in my living room while raising two boys solo. My clients? Paris Hilton. Beyoncé. Rihanna. DVF. The Kardashians. The Real Housewives. I was backstage at award shows and gracing the pages of magazines and had dozens of features on publications like BET and Ebony websites — from my living room.
But life shifted.
I needed stability. A fresh start. So I dove into tech sales, landed a role at a fast-growing startup, and within a year, I was recruited to be Head of Community & Brand Experience at SV Academy — the very bootcamp I went through. I helped hundreds of people land high-paying roles in tech.
And then?
💥 Massive layoff.
After the company hit a $100M valuation, the cuts came hard. I was left without a role, without a plan, and trying to figure out who I was without the job title, the brand name, or the safety net.
For 2 years, I spiraled. Personally, professionally — it was a storm. I knew I wanted to find my successes again, but I didn’t know what that looked like anymore. I had all this experience in brand building, content creation, and strategy, but where did I belong now?
Then I picked up the tool I’d once created to help other women find clarity:

I used it — religiously — to reset. I mapped out a plan, got clear on my goals, and chose an industry I knew I could quickly pivot into: multifamily real estate.

I didn’t abandon The Posh Girls Club — I brought it with me. I used the same marketing strategies I used to build my bling brand, and applied them to real estate. And guess what? It worked. Because when you know how to build brand authority, you can win in any field.
